2 things from today

1. first email from attracting clients lady.

2. from mark silver: Comparison is an evil force. Seriously. Although it's great to watch others in order to learn, if you are comparing yourself to someone else, when each of your situations is unique, you ignite havoc in your heart as you struggle to be someone you aren't.

Stop comparing yourself to others. You don't know their story. You don't know how they did what they are doing. And, you probably don't even know the full truth of how successful they really are. People can look successful, and still have their struggles.

what they don't teach you in coaching school

Superstar coaches understand that the primary objective of their business is the MARKETING of their coaching and consulting services, NOT the delivering of their services.

- David Frey

*sigh* Ya, I've known this for a while. It's why it's been more important to me to take business/marketing school than more coaching school...

The sad fact of people in our industry: we're here because we like to help people. <-- doesn't make for good marketing/sales person.

The really funny thing is I've got the fullest practise now than I've ever ever had, but have hardly spent time on the business for the last few months -- because with all my crazy life stuff this year, I've stopped most of my marketing efforts. Marketing is what takes all the time, not the coaching.

Luckily I'd put in enough marketing groundwork for 2 years that now people are just coming to me. :D

Although - marketing efforts shall be resuming soon. The assistant and I are almost done a "professional guest speaker" gig talk promo sheet! And then I be out there, giggin'! Promoting my newsletter.

Quotes I found somewhere:

Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.

Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.

Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.
